Tony Rubolotta March 23, 2013 There will always be people who want to be left alone and there will always be people who will leave no one alone. There are people love liberty and those who despise liberty. This is the perpetual war of humanity that will never end and like any war, the side that has the initiative usually wins. Conservatives have a choice; remain on the defensive and lose ground or take the initiative and go on the offensive. What I propose here is just the beginning and first steps that require sacrifice are always the most difficult. Consider what is at stake, then decide. Public Schools The American education system fails because it does not educate, it indoctrinates. It is a unionized factory of drone makers who use a student's self-esteem as a bribe to enforce conformity to anti-American points of view. It extorts tax money from politicians in exchange for political support. It is the states instrument for producing compliant citizens to worship the leftist elite. We all know this so what can we do about it? And don't hold your breath waiting for vouchers. Get your children, grand children, nieces and nephews out of the public schools. This is a long term solution but will have an immediate impact. If you can afford a private school, do it but research first. Some private schools are nothing but liberal extensions of the public schools. I fully support religious schools that will reinforce your family values, not undermine them as public schools do. If you can't afford a private school, consider home schooling. That will be difficult if both parents work but if you are truly concerned about your child's future, you must get them out of the public schools. Conservatives need to put their money where their mouths are and contribute to endowments or trusts to help fund private schools. There are a lot of parents that must work and government is quite content to see they have no alternative to the public schools. If the money wasted to elect establishment Republicans had been spent to create endowments for private schools, no one would need vouchers and financial aid would be available to truly needy families. The long term result will be graduating students ingrained with American values concerning God, family and country. They will love America for the good it has done, not hate it to further the ambitions of some left-wing elitist that wants to create his version of utopia at the expense of their liberty. The short term results will be dramatic. Fewer students will mean fewer union dues paying teachers. It should also mean lower property taxes, but for that you will have to fight. Liberals never give anything back once their hand is in your pocket. The teachers that remain will be those with seniority and I hate to say it but more often than not they are the worst of the lot, cruising to retirement in a union protected job. The good teachers will be hired by the private schools. If I am offending public school teachers, that's too bad because you offend me. And if you are a good teacher, you know exactly what I am saying and why I am right. College The public schools produce drones but colleges refine them. Many are just high cost institutions to instill an elitist entitlement mentality. A lot of junior colleges are just remedial high schools. I'm not against a college education, but that is not what many students receive. Most of the worthless degrees are intended for future bureaucrat paper pushers who can't think at a high school level, no less a college level. For them, college is just a means to prove their superiority over others. If your child does go to college, make it your business to know what course of study they will pursue. Many colleges offer feel-good junk courses labeled as social sciences which are of absolutely no value. Stop supporting colleges that adopt politically correct behavior codes to crank out academic imbeciles. Is the sports program of your Alma mater really more important than your country and the future of your children, or are you just a sunshine Conservative that can't live without his circuses? The Media I cannot understand Conservative fascination with a media that would make Joseph Goebbels blush with envy. Many Conservatives I know whine about the bias and propaganda pumped out by the media in a constant stream, yet they watch television anyway. Turn off the television and radio. Cancel the premium cable channels. If the local paper is a liberal rag, dump it. You can find everything they report on the Internet for free. The media will not change until they lose enough revenue from falling ratings and subscriptions. When I say turn it off, turn if all off. I don't care what Conservative, phony or genuine, appears on the Sunday shows. I don't care what programming is considered conservative, or what movie is playing. Liberals own the media, liberals collect the revenue and liberals spend it on liberal causes no matter what programs you watch. You are putting your money in their hands to produce more propaganda. Premium cable channels may offer some interesting programming and an occasional good movie, but they too are liberal revenue machines. Many of the so-called educational programs are obsessed with delivering a slanted view of history and science. These producers just can't help themselves. They will give you about 90% honest programming but they can't resist slipping in that 10% propaganda to tell you what to think about what you just watched. I listen to all of my favorite conservative talk shows over the Internet, mostly direct streaming audio from the host web site. The only radio web sites I use are unmistakably owned and operated by conservatives. Why feed the beast that gives you a few hours of good programming and spends the earnings fighting against everything you love? There are a lot of alternatives to liberal owned broadcast radio stations today. Churches Churches were once the epicenter of American politics. Politicians were called to account for voting records, their behavior, character and intentions. Obviously enough politicians didn't like that and the IRS was empowered to silence churches if they dared to talk about and endorse a politician, with some noteworthy exceptions. If a minister tells his parishioners that Bill Clinton is a slime-bucket or that Barack Obama is a baby-killer, there goes their tax exempt status. God fearing men have been replaced by IRS fearing men. In some countries, be careful what Bible verses you read in church. You could be charged with a hate crime, and that could happen here as well. This may offend some Conservatives but I'm in an offending mood because my country is being lost by wishy-washy opposition to a destructive amoral force called elitism. If it were not for Christianity, America would never have achieved what it did. Many of America's churches are no longer Christian, but some kind of watered down, politically correct entertainment center for the intellectually lazy that must be spoon fed questionable moral lessons. Feeling good has replaced being good. The Bible is out and the LGBT agenda is in. As Christianity dies in America, America dies with it. I'm no longer a church-goer but I do attend Sunday services via the Internet from one of the few e-churches I have found unafraid to preach the gospel, undiluted and unaltered by political correctness or fear of offending the sensitivities of pleasure-seeking drones. Fire and brimstone. I want it hot and I want it straight and my local churches wouldn't do that. They don't support me so I don't support them. You might consider doing the same. Elections Al Gore was right, the Florida election was rigged, but not enough to give him the win. The recounts became a joke as each one squeaked out a few more votes for Gore. Ten or fifteen more recounts and Gore could have won. In Allen West's congressional race, voter turnout was 125%. Amazing what Democrats can do with a few buses and vans scurrying from polling place to polling place. In some Philadelphia precincts, Obama got 100% of the vote, making Saddam Hussein second best. There is no doubt in my mind that rigging elections with fraudulent votes went wholesale in 2008 and those who voted two or three times then voted five or six times in 2012. They just needed more vehicles and more drivers to pull it off. The move toward computerized voting makes fraud a more sophisticated but guaranteed untraceable crime. There is no paper trail, no chads and no record other than what is stored in the machine. Software stands between the voter and the vote with no practical way to verify the vote was registered correctly. Would programmers really do something like rig software? Come now, no one can be that naive. Voter fraud is not something an individual can tackle alone. It is too massive a task. It requires organization and systematic methods. All I can suggest here is that your local TEA party may be up to the task. This is a tedious and thankless task but if the integrity of elections is not restored, honest people will never have a voice in government again. And by the way, the computers must go. Part 2? Not yet but I hope others come up with some constructive ideas as well. It won't be easy to do much of what I have suggested, but I have done it, so I know it can be done if the will is there. My step-son was home schooled. He attended junior college taking courses in network programming. I have been TV free for over 10 years, premium channel free for over three years and radio free for two years. I had to look for a church that actually preached the gospel, but they exist and churches that do not are doing their parishioners a horrible disservice. A lot of people claim they will fight to protect their liberty. I dismiss most such talk as empty bravado. After all, if you can't muster the will power to give up TV, are you really going to muster the will power to fight?
